“You have to know what sparks the light in you so that you,
in your own way, can illuminate the world.”
Oprah Winfrey has many gifts, not the least of which is her gift with words. I witnessed this while attending her “Life You Want” weekend. She stood quietly on stage and spoke for over two hours as 10,000 people sat spellbound. No notes, no cues, no memorized script. She spoke from her heart. Not a word was insignificant or wasted. We received a gift that night.
Recently, she shared her gift with students at The Stanford Graduate School of Business where she spoke on “Career, Life and Leadership.” Again, her ability to connect with her audience as though she was speaking to them individually was obvious despite the fact I wasn’t in the room. The students received a gift that day.
Here are several short clips and the full version of her Stanford presentation. Enjoy her gift.
